A rheologically optimized extrusion line for tire components.

Abstract:
The origin of several extrusion related problems is found in the morphology of rubber compounds. Rubber molecules are stretched during extrusion and wants to return into their coiled configuration after leaving the die.  This effect is more pronounced with the latest generation of tread compounds. The answer to this phenomenon is “relaxed extrusion”   Methods how to realize relaxed extrusion and therefore to increase process capability and how HF can help will be presented.
